I research the economic systems behind cities, policies, business, and the news, using data and visualizations to explain what is happening, who is impacted, and why it matters.
I study economics and mathematics at the University of Illinois, Chicago and am interested in the cities, laws, policies, and institutions that shape people's daily life.
My work combines research, data analysis, writing, and visual storytelling. I am often frustrated by the coverage, or lack of it, of economic concepts in the media and the general inaccessibility of economic research. My goal with this project is to make complicated and important subjects understandable and impactful for people without an economics education.
This site hosts the research, reporting, photography, visualizations, and other projects I am building as I finish my degree. Also, I want to pet your dog.
